Our process of getting to know you as a client includes connecting with your existing lifestyle, the characters in your life, and discussing your future goals. Visual reference is important to aligning with a client’s tastes — we will take your favorite interiors and, with our guidance, push you to explore beyond your visual and spatial limits. Throughout the project, we constantly check in to make sure we are on the right track to creating a cohesive vision.
To begin speaking about your potential project, we will have a series of emails and phone calls to identify scope and budget, walk through our process, as well as provide project examples. If you would like to meet our team, we offer 50-minute paid initial consultations for $275 at our Berkeley studio, or $350 at our meeting room in San Francisco or a remote work space near your location. If you are ready to engage in a contract before we meet in person, we will collect our project retainer and begin our work together at our first on-site meeting.
Our minimum budgets for large projects are $200K for furnishings or $200K for architectural remodels. Client budgets for full-home architectural renovtions average $600K. Our minimum engagement for design service fees is $30K per project. While we have a handful of large projects, we reserve time for one or two smaller projects per year. From the time of your initial contact, we will typically begin working on a project within 2 months. We begin our projects with the discovery phase, move into concepting and design, then execute the implementation of the design. Our team is engaged in a project from conception, to construction, to completion. Our project timelines range between 6 months and 2 years, depending on scope and scale.
